There is a used books store (if I recall) on Oak Ridge highway, between Karns and where OR highway joins Pellissipi Parkway, that has a track out back that they run races on Saturday, and I think open driving during the week.  I didn't ask if they allowed nitro since I don't have one, but the guys at HT USA told me about it, and many of them run nitro, so I'd say yes, but don't quote me on that.  Let me see if I can find it on the map....

I don't believe there is anything like the AMA for tracks, or required insurance. There is however fees for driving, just depends on the track I guess.  The one I posted I think you can buy yearly membership, and then I believe you have a per race fee.  It's been awhile since I stopped there, so I could be wrong about the specifics, but there absolutely is a fee, as I'm sure there are at most tracks.
