Well, I think/hope there is some interest in DLG discuss launch gliders here locally. So, I will keep trying to plant the seed until I actually have someone to fly with. Here is a DLG video that is taken from above with a oktokopter. Very cool perspective..enjoy!!

I would love to have one of these. A great calm and windy day flyer and very different from everything else in my hangar. Plus that launching maneuver is sure to draw in the ladies.. verrrry nice. Seriously, if you spot a great deal on one of these, let me know. I know they are not cheap.
I was thinking about getting that other glider you pointed me at a while back.. the Alula.

I'm about to get back to my DL-50. Been dragging my feet due to other, more pressing projects.

Ha!!
I just watched that Alula vid....I thought somebody had taped me picking on a flattop (a long time ago).
I'd love to get an alula & fly it in my backyard, the crows would go nuts! As it is they hate my Ascent!

Really sweet deal on a used competition DLG. Jeff, the seller is a top pilot on the east coast and I'm sure it is built right. This would be worth the drive to the NAtS or NC to go pick it up. I wish I had the money

Well, I'm officially flying it, now just need to hit a thermal and develop a good launch...
I also included the image from above for the throwing blade. I made mine this way and have found it to be quite comfortable. Thanks Mike.

Kind of wish I had come by so I could see that fly....my bank account may have appreciated the fact that I didn't though.
