well i joined the AMA with the three month trail, hope fully i can get the pylon racer done this week
Very good... AMA is the best thing one can do as it 'covers our tails' if things go awry and somethning is damaged
A few days ago, a few of us got together at VAM with some foam combat planes ...and had a blast flying 'full contact'
I did nail Bama's Assasin from the underside with the nose of the 2 dollar Pylon racer and took us both out of the air...we were flying again in 2 minutes... The assasin hit the ground at 60 mph straight down chasing mine..and he was ready again after bending his motor mount back in place.
The concept of full contact combat and/or pylon racing is to have a plane that either really cheap, durable, easy to replace/with spare wings etc...or all of the above as one is destined to butt heads out there....You wouldn't believe how hard it actually is though to actually contact another plane as their all over the sky...turnin' and burnin'...and cheap is the way to go.
