Very cool video! Made me think of this awesome scale cockpit view flight with a P 51 from a couple of years ago.

I am just now getting into FPV this year and really enjoying it and, like you, imagining all of the great possibilities. So far, I've just been flying an inductrix FPV (mostly indoors) and a Vortex 285 but have already stuck a micro VTX on one of my foamies to try it out but only flew it once for a couple of minutes before the wind made me quit.

You make a good point about FPV being the beacon for newcomers to this hobby too.

...and has been my goal for the last couple years

a VERY good video

HobbyKing is listening...and they have the idea of warbirds full immersion fpv fairly well figured out....but I've yet to see much about other facets such as FPV Pylon racing, FPV Barnstorming, FPV 3D flying, FPV close formation and last but not least FPV combat.

all of these are done inside 1/2 mile range  which is well within the LOS AMA code.

Personally, my 'budget' crisis prevented me from advancing much over the last year, however , that's changing and hopefully we will get to do some of what I am attempting to describe in FPV.

My vision of visitors being able to come to the field and don a head mounted display and flip between the various FPV video feeds that are active in both fixed and copter  and get the 'feel' of being in all the different aircraft flying may soon come to pass.

I believe FPV will be one of the driving forces of new person participation in the future ...and especially when a few more people get them a setup to join in .

Imagine if we slapped a few fpv cams on some of those Cub Scout rockets what attention would be devoted.!

...its not all about haw 'far' you can fly out... there is loads of fun inside just the field boundaries.

Man, I had probably the worse year financially (or that i remember) and did not even get to join the club .... seemed like every day/moment was just keeping head above the water so did not post much ...didnt have anything positive to post...but this year is better and is looking even more so. ....If you do let er' hang on another year, I may get to finally post some good news :)

I've always enjoyed the people on this page/site and appreciated it being here....BTW if you can come out and fly at VAM, the field is getting nicer every year...and there are plenty of quad/fpv going on...and its fun keeping the buzzards ran off with the fixed wing FPV.

Great video Kerbob. Like several of you stated, last year was a tough one to go fly. More flying this year!
