They have coupons periodically for 40 or 50% off a single item, as does Michaels craft stores.  Sounds like a perfect time to pick up a nice airbrush to me!   ;D

I couldn't find anything for Hobby Lobby (craft store), but I think we still have a Michael's craft store in town. Go to this link and at the bottom is a link to register for email coupons. They will send you a 50% off a single item coupon immediately I believe. Any dual action brush made by Iwata, Badger, or Paasche will do you perfect. I have read that when you buy something they will give you another coupon, great if you want to then get a compressor as well.

hope that helps!

The $15 dual action airbrush from Harbor Freight works every bit as good as my old Pasche, (I had to sell many years back..hard times  :'( )  I doubt it will last 40 years but for the price who cares.
The Createx airbrush paints from Hobby Lobby are awesome tho  ;D

Harbor Freight sends me email coupons at least once a week, if anyone wants some let me know.

FYI-

AC Moore, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby all take each others coupons.  Michaels has a 40% off every Sunday.

I will be in Nashville next Monday and Tuesday (14th and 15th), and plan to swing by the new Hobby Lobby store.  If anyone has anything they have been wanting from HL and don't want to pay shipping, let me know and I can pick it up for you.  I'm think of trying these scale warbird props, a 3 bladed for the T-28, and a 4 bladed for the next in line to build P-51 that I have.  Shipping alone is $10, almost 1/3 the price of the two props.   :(

Let me know!

I just bought the Harbor Freight Dual-Action airbrush after hearing rave reviews from Flying_fox and also many, many, many on RCGroups.  No compressor.. but that will be next.

I think this will save me money in the long rung.  I heard this kit works super with Walmart cheapo acrylic paint and Windex.  I'm not sure what the mix ratio is supposed to be.

I've always heard 1:1 ratio works quite well.

The approximate ratio is 1:1, but it seems to vary quite a bit by color, the best advice I have is just mix it until its about the consistency of milk - chocolate milk at the thickest. air pressure around 40-45psi for large-ish paint jobs, 30 or less for detail (thinning the paint more as you drop the pressure, but not so thin as to make it watery) also the apple barrel brand works better than the other brand (cant remember the name) that walmart carries.

Hey guys, I know this is short notice, but I will be passing through Nashville today and stopping at Hobby Lobby if anybody wants anything. I received an email last night about a Presidents Day sale. About the only thing good on it was a 45 amp ESC w/switching BEC for $19.99. I am going to see if it's any good, if so I will be getting one, if anyone wants one, or anything else, let me know by 3:30-4:00 (2 hours or so).

If the ESC looks to be decent and its good for 4S with its BEC. Count me in for 1. This may be perfect for the FunJet!  Thanks

Ok Russ, got you one. It is for 4S, actually it's out of one of their large F-16's for 4S. So it's good for several, maybe even as many as 10 servos or 5 amps. The ESC has a nice heat sink, and the BEC is really just an already attached external BEC, and the bullets and Deans are already attached. Looks like a pretty good unit, especially for $22 after tax!

It's obvious it was for a specific plane. After opening it up, I foud the battery leads and rx wires to be quite long. They will most likely need shortened a touch.
