Great place to drive off road!
« on: March 07, 2010, 06:38:45 PM »
I had an extra charged lipo for the truck that didn't get discharged yesterday, so we took the truck to a place I thought might be kind of fun since they are doing site work and it's all dirt at this point.  It's near the hill, if you are familiar with that, Pellissippi north bound get off at Hardin Valley, turn right, and just a few hundred feet is a little strip mall with a Snappy Tomato, Subway, and a nail place.  Just behind the shops is a road, with a slight hill to walk up, and when you get to the top is a GREAT off road bashing area.  It's full of all different size hills to jump and climb, the dirt is clean with few rocks, and it's very level.  Oddly enough there were other people there running about 4 different trucks and other off road vehicles.  It was a blast, and well worth the drive if you aren't close and wanting a nice place to tear it up!

The map is not very current, it doesn't show the nearby banks or the strip mall, but you get the idea of where it's at!

I took the Slash there a while back, great fun. Ramps, hills and quarter-pipes all over  :). One thing I would mention though... If there is a mud pit, don't get any ideas. I got the slash stuck and ended up down to my thighs in mud just to retrieve it. Sounds funny but I thought I was in real trouble, and the ride home was pretty lame...
