Hi guys.I can confirm that there are many fake Spektrum receivers in Asia now.For the past 3 months Hobbyking.com has been getting samples of these Rx's from various suppliers and factories in Indonesia, Thailand and China.I've personally tested a few samples. They bind well, but the component quality and SMT work on some is very poor.In discussion with one factory I was told China has developed the technology to copy MCU's now. And there are companies now that offer this as a service. (This is apparently how they copied the Spektrum MCU)On my desk I have a bunch of different copied Spektrum Rx's, from the AR6100 to the AR9000 with external receiver. What happens now?The factories are reluctant to let alot of people know that they make these Rx's because there is a Patent on the technology. However, it's just a matter of time before one factory breaks ranks and starts to mass produce them; after which the others will follow, at which point Horizon Hobby kicks its legal team into overdrive, ad nauseum. As a buyer I would be extremely careful. It's clear Quality Control is not in place on some of the samples I received and the MCU's are laser copies of their famous branded cousins. If you're paying more than $10.00US for the copied AR6100 then you're paying too much. I sourced the ones on my desk for less than $7.00!Here is a video I made of the micro version AR6300;http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...18f5bae1405a42/quote]
