Tullahoma Contest
« on: June 02, 2010, 10:17:24 AM »
Well it was a great weekend of flying.  My flying was not that great.  I had a pop off on both days off the winch.
This just killed me.  So rethinking my set up on the plane  I think I going to move the cg back further and rethinking  my launch set  up  Good weekend, no rain, windy on both days, but a lot of fun. Great contest around 44 people flying both days.  So I am gearing up for the 2 contest of the Ohio series starting in St Louis in two weeks.  Will be practing this weekend at US cellular Weather permitting

Robert, Glad to hear you had fun.  I was there too but just for the handlaunch contest.  I must have just missed you.  I had a blast too at the contest.   I learned I have a lot to learn.  I placed 8th out of 18.  Next year my goal is top 5.  I really like this contest because it was small and really relaxed.  That field is absolutely amazing.......I think it spoiled me.

Rob,
Sorry to hear about the pop offs... didn't even know that term before today though I can imagine what it is when your high starting your plane.
I may try to join you at US Cellular this weekend. Soccer is over temporarily.

Relaxnfly,
Was you contest with the disc launch glider?  8 out of 18 aint bad at all.  I'm sure none of them were newbies.

Any photos?
